Have friends in different parts of the country or in the region that you don’t get to see very often? A Girlfriends’ Getaway is a perfect way to carve out the time to “catch up," and the award-winning Chocolate Turtle B&B is just the place to gather. Several options are available - for a small group or just a couple of friends. New Mexico is easy to get to from most parts of the US, and the Chocolate Turtle is centrally located in the charming, historic farming Village of Corrales, NM – just 25 minutes from the Albuquerque Airport. Packages can be customized to meet your specific requests.

       Stay Put and Catch Up

Want to just hang out and be with your friends to do nothing except relax, talk, eat, talk, enjoy the surroundings, talk, and relax some more? You can do this at the Turtle! Snuggle down and start enjoying just being together from the moment you arrive, and we'll take care of the rest. We'll pamper you with two light dinners with yummy desserts, two gourmet breakfasts, and snacks and a variety of beverages - soda, juices, water, and assorted teas and coffees throughout your stay.

Activities you can enjoy at the Turtle include feeding the roadrunners and quail or relaxing in the Great Room to catch up with friends. Stay in your PJs all day if you wish, play games and watch your favorite movies! In warm weather, relax on the portal with your friends, while enjoying your favorite beverage and watching the ever-changing Sandia Mountains, or explore the fragrant gardens. During warm weather, your breakfast will be served on the portal with free entertainment by the local wildlife.

       Two Friends

For two friends who want to get together - share the Sandia Room with a king bed and a single antique Taos bed for two nights. Upon your arrival enjoy a cheese, meat, crackers, fruit, and vegetable tray along with chocolate-covered strawberries (in warm weather you can enjoy this on your private patio), and each morning yummy breakfasts will start your day. Your hosts are experienced balloon crew members and enjoy talking about ballooning. An early morning breakfast snack will get you started before you head out for your Rainbow Ryders ballooning adventure for two - which includes a traditional first-timers' ceremony with a pin and certificate, followed by a light continental breakfast. Since ballooning is usually an early morning sport, enjoy a refreshing nap, then tour the historic Village of Corrales, or explore our local wineries.
